I am a wife, dog mom, 2nd sister of five girls, coolest aunt ever and hopefully someday a mom. Aspiring entrepreneur by day, blogger by night and occasionally a photographer on the weekends. Life gets pretty busy, and I haven't even thrown kids into the mix. I am in my late 30’s (still sounds so odd), was born and raised in California and now live in my dream location - Oregon!
I started this blog as a way to share all the things I learned about becoming wellthy (more on that below). I've always wanted to have the financial freedom to be my own boss and pursue my idea of happiness. I just wasn't always sure what that was. I left my corporate job in a soul sucking industry in 2014 and started working from home as an executive assistant. Being away from the cubicle nightmare was nice, but at the end of the day I wasn't working for myself.
Then I lost my job. I took it as the Universe telling me it's now or never. So I turned my focus back to this little space of mine, and decided I wanted to document my journey of learning how to figure out this whole pursuit of happiness. And I realized that often in times of my own adversities, I still loved building up and encouraging the people around me. Whether it's with an uplifting story, a homeopathic remedy or an inspirational quote, I always had something to pull out of my bag. So I figured why not share it with the world?
I want to show you how easy it is to become wellthy. What’s that, you say? No, its not a typo.
Wellth is the idea that success is found in a lifestyle devoted to mental, physical, and emotional health. It’s about finding happiness, health and abundance in the small things. You might need a million dollars to be wealthy, but certainly not to be wellthy. This blog is about my journey to financial well being and my quest to find real joy – and how to make my way through all of it with a sense of humor. I do not declare myself a certified therapist, financial adviser or even a comedian. I am just a simple girl who lost her job and decided to throw caution to the wind to pursue a little happiness, trying to navigate it all with a little wit. And I am here to share it with you, and hope to inspire you along the way.
I have read books, scoured the internet, fallen asleep scrolling through Pinterest on my phone (let’s not pretend you haven’t done that), browsed websites and anything else I could possibly do to find the way to lead a life I was proud of. A life free from corporate America, free from debt, free from toxins and free from negativity. This is my journey, and I love to inspire others so I am grateful that you are here to follow along with me.
I want to build a community of wellth doers, and would love you to join with me and share your own stories. Join our Facebook Group, Be Wellthy. You can also find me using the social buttons below. Or keep it simple and just send me an email.
I am so happy you are here, and I look forward to getting to know you!
